The frontier is more than the space between fights. It is where a warband chooses its route, reads the terrain, and decides what is worth the risk.

Three objectives. More room between them.

The 0.8.8 checkpoint moves Hallowmere Keep, the Standing Stones, and the Old Watch farther apart. Their pairwise distances now range from 1,103 to 1,481 studs, giving each objective more of its own surrounding ground and approach routes.

A world with recognizable places

Hills break up sightlines. Milegates create a clear passage from home into contested territory. Watchtowers, Greyfall Hamlet, the Sunken Cloister, and the Old Mill help players navigate by what they can see, rather than by a trail of enemy markers.

The next test is the human one

Navigation checks establish that the squads can cross the frontier. They do not tell us whether every journey feels right. Encounter frequency, route choices, and the rhythm of roaming still need human playtesting.
